Have you ever visited Cala Saona by boat? Let Us Show You!
One of our favourite experiences in Formentera is visiting Cala Saona by boat. This stunning cove is located on the southwest coast of the island, about an hour and a half from Las Salinas – the closest beach in Ibiza to Formentera. Whether you charter one of our boats for a single day or several, Cala Saona is an absolute must-see. Here’s why you shouldn’t miss it!
Unlike the open beaches elsewhere on the island, Cala Saona is a sheltered cove surrounded by cliffs – a perfect haven to unwind, go snorkelling in turquoise waters or try paddleboarding in calm conditions.
Time to Eat…
Cala Saona features a small beach just 150 metres long, home to a hotel and several delightful restaurants. Some offer a special boat service and will bring your meal directly on board so you can dine with sea views from your deck. If you prefer, you can also eat at the restaurant itself – and one of their boatmen will pick you up from your yacht.
One of our all-time favourites, and most recommended by our guests, is Restaurante Sol, famous for its incredible paellas. Ever tried a paella this good with views this breathtaking? It’s an experience well worth savouring.
What’s more, just ten minutes south of Cala Saona by sailboat, you’ll find a hidden gem: a secluded spot with no signal and no crowds – accessible only by boat. Surrounded by cliffs and caves, it’s the perfect place to enjoy serenity and natural beauty.
